Randy Arozarena came to bat with runners on first and third and two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, with his team down by two runs and in danger of suffering a humiliating defeat against the worst team in Major League Baseball.

With a 2-2 count, Arozerena, who had already hit a double and a single in his previous at-bats, lined a hit into center field to bring home both runners and give the Tampa Bay Rays a 5-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The victory was the Rays' fourth in a row and moved them to within a game of .500 (24-25). The Pirates have lost six straight and are now 14-35, the worst record in the majors.
